From November 3 to November 26, Korea University Sejong Campus University Job Plus Center, led by Director Byunghee Lee will operate the “Public Sector Employment Readiness Program” for the second semester of 2025 The program is designed to strengthen the practical competencies of students preparing for employment in public institutions.
The program provides step-by-step, customized job preparation strategies aligned with current public-sector recruitment trends, enabling students to prepare for public institution employment in a more systematic and strategic manner.
The lecture series consists of seven sessions covering:
Special lectures by incumbent employees (technical and administrative positions)
Analysis of the public-sector employment market and recruitment trends
Practical guidance on writing successful application documents (personal statements)
Interview strategies by interview type (experience-based, situational, and PT interviews)
In-depth analysis of job descriptions and methods for organizing relevant experiences
Comprehensive preparation for the NCS Core Competency Assessment (communication, numeracy, and problem-solving skills)
Advanced preparation for the NCS Core Competency Assessment (resource management, information utilization, and organizational understanding)
The consulting component includes personal statement consulting and interview consulting, offered through both online and offline formats.
During the personal statement consulting sessions, students receive support in identifying and refining relevant experiences for key NCS-based questions, along with tailored strategies reflecting the job characteristics of specific public institutions.
Interview consulting is conducted through one-on-one and group mock interviews tailored to public-sector recruitment. Using practical interview evaluation forms, participants receive multi-dimensional feedback to identify concrete areas for improvement. In particular, PT and panel discussion interviews utilize past-question–based practice materials from students’ target institutions to maximize real-world preparation effectiveness.
